Transfer a domain away from UENI

Updated over a week ago

Please note: This service has a one-time administrative fee.

If you no longer wish to keep your domain name registered with UENI, you may transfer it to another registrar in a few easy steps. This process must be started with UENI, and completed through your new registrar. UENI will then transfer ownership of the domain to you, or your new hosting provider.

Keep in mind: Domains that have been registered or transferred within the last 60 days are not eligible for transfer.

Depending on the type of TLD (top level domain) you have selected, here's what you'll need:

  • To transfer a .uk domain name, you must request an update to the IPS tag. UENI will provide this for you

  • To transfer a .com domain name, you must request a transfer code. UENI will provide this for you

How to get started:

To request your domain transfer, start a conversation on UENI's live chat and follow these steps:

  1. Request Transfer from UENI: Initiate the domain transfer request via live chat.

  2. Settle the Transfer Fee: Agree to the one-time fee. UENI will then unlock your domain and provide the authorization (EPP) code.

  3. Use the EPP Code: Share the code with your new registrar to complete the transfer.

  4. Accept the Transfer: Follow the remaining steps outlined by your new registrar.
