Your business may be evolving, or maybe you’re planning a full makeover for your website. Since your UENI site is live as soon as it’s built, you might be wondering: How can you temporarily hide sections while you work on updates?
In this guide, we’ll show you a simple way to do just that!
Please note: This work around is for websites currently using Advanced Layouts.
Step 1: Log into your Editor
Go to your Hub
Click on Edit Website
Step 2: Remove Sections from Your Live Pages
Click Pages in the editor
Select the page where the sections are currently visible
Remove any sections you want to temporarily by clicking on the Edit button and then the trashbin icon next to the section title.
Step 3: Create a Hidden Page for Editing
Click Pages
Select Add Page → New Blank Page. As long as the page isn't added to your site's Menu, It won't be accessible without a direct link.
Add any sections you want to edit to this new page
Step 4: Edit Your Hidden Sections
Now that your sections are hidden from visitors, you can freely edit them.
Click each section and make your changes
Take your time—your updates won’t be visible until you’re ready
Step 5: Make Your Updates Live
Once you’re satisfied with your edits, simply add the updated sections back to your desired pages.
