Stripe is one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. Connect it to your UENI website to give customers another secure, convenient way to pay for your products and services directly on your site.
Warning: You can't use Stripe and Square together. If Square is already turned on, Stripe will be unavailable.
Step 1: Open Payment Methods
Log in to the UENI Editor.
Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
Open Payment Methods.
Step 2: Connect with Stripe
Click Connect With Stripe. You'll go to Stripe's website.
Step 3: Log in or sign up
Have a Stripe account? Log in and confirm your business information.
New to Stripe? Follow the prompts to create an account.
You'll be asked for your business details and the bank account for payouts. When you're done, you'll return to the UENI Editor and see a confirmation message.
Customers can now pay with credit or debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Note: If PayPal is also turned on, card payments go to Stripe and only PayPal payments go to PayPal.
Step 4: Customize your checkout (optional)
Your website's brand colours carry over to your Stripe checkout automatically. You can change the look anytime in your Stripe Dashboard.
Pro tip: Offer more flexibility by turning on Klarna or Afterpay and Clearpay (UK) in your Stripe Dashboard.
Troubleshooting
"I see a verification reminder": your business details still need verifying. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard and complete the verification steps.
"Stripe is unavailable": Square is already turned on. Only one of the two can be used.
