How do I configure my booking settings?

How to set auto-confirmation, closing-time bookings, bookable hours and calendar sync in your UENI Booking Settings.

Once your services are bookable, Booking Settings lets you decide how customers book them. From one screen, you can choose whether bookings need your approval, set the times customers can book, and sync bookings to your calendar, so your schedule runs smoothly.

Warning: Make at least one service bookable before you start. Here's how to create a bookable service.

Step 1: Open the UENI Editor

Step 2: Open Booking Settings

In the left-hand panel, click Settings, then Booking Settings.

Step 3: Choose Auto Booking Confirmation

This toggle decides whether bookings need your approval.

  • Off (default): each booking arrives as a request. You confirm or decline it manually, giving you full control.

  • On: bookings are confirmed instantly. UENI tracks booked slots for you, but connecting a calendar (Step 6) gives the best results.

Note: This is the default for new bookable services. You can still change it for each service in its settings.

Step 4: Allow bookings that end at closing time

Buffer time is added after every service, which can hide your last slot of the day. For example, if you close at 12:00 and offer a 60-minute service with a 30-minute buffer, the 11:00 slot won't show, even though the service ends at 12:00.

  • Off (default): the last slot only shows if its buffer also fits within your bookable hours.

  • On: the buffer is skipped when a service ends right at closing, so the final slot is offered.

This only affects the end of your last bookable window. Buffers between bookings and around mid-day breaks stay the same. For example, if you take bookings 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, it applies at 18:00 only.

Note: Service duration and buffer time are set for each service. Here's how to set them.

Step 5: Set your Bookable Hours

Choose the days and time windows customers can book.

Warning: Bookable Hours are separate from your opening hours. For example, you might be open 9 to 6 but only take bookings from 10 to 4.

Step 6: Connect a Booking Calendar

In Booking Calendar, connect an external calendar so bookings sync automatically:

Confirmed bookings then appear in your calendar, and booked times are blocked to prevent double-bookings.
