Before getting started, make sure you have downloaded the Instagram app to your mobile devices, and have created an Instagram account. If you haven't already got one, you can create an account here.

How to make an Instagram Post
Step 1: Tap at the top of your screen and choose Post.
- To upload a photo from your phone's library, select the photo that you'd like to share. For this post, we suggest that you pick photos of your selection of products. You can add up to 10 photos or videos in each post.
Step 2: Choose the photo you want to upload and enhance your photos with different filters. Once you're done, tap Next (iPhone) or (Android), then add a caption. You can use caption to describe your products, services or businesses. You can also add Hashtags to help your posts reach wider audiences on Instagram.
Tips: We recommend using a free research tool like this one to determine the right hashtags for you. You can search by keywords, so if you want to sell custom clothing you can search for “custom clothing” or “custom clothes”, then take a look at the results and find popular choices. Here, for example, we would suggest going with #customclothingdesign.
Step 3: When you've finished, tap Share (iPhone) or (Android).
How to post an Instagram Story
You can use Instagram story to highlight your special promotions or products. Instagram stories let you share photos or videos that disappear after 24 hours, unless you add them to your profile as story highlights.
Step 2: Tap at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video. To choose a photo or video from your phone's gallery or camera roll, swipe up anywhere on the screen. You may see gallery suggestions to help you choose what to share.
Step 3: Tap , or to draw, add text or a sticker to your photo or video. To remove text or a sticker, drag and drop it on at the bottom of the screen.
When you're ready to share, tap Your story in the bottom left.
Instagram Reels are vertical videos that can be up to 90 seconds long. They come with many editing tools and an extensive library of trending music and audio to help users create viral content. You can also include multiple video clips, filters, captions, stickers to make attractive Reels. Unlike Stories, Reels don’t disappear after 24 hours.
Step 1: Tap at the top and select Reel.
Step 2: You will be taken to the next step to record upload footages for your Reels
Simply choose 'Get Started'. Instagram Reels gives you two options to create a Reel:
- Press and hold the record button to capture footage; Or
- Upload video footage from your camera roll.
Step 3: Edit your Reels
Once you’re done with recording, you can add music, stickers, drawings, and text to edit your Reel using the icons on the top of the editor.
The Reels editor features built-in creative tools so you can do all your editing from one interface.
When you’re ready, tap Next in the bottom right corner of your screen. You will be able to make adjust different settings as show below, before uploading your Reel.
