Step 1: Locate the Edit My Website Button
To begin, you’ll first need to find the "Edit My Website" option. On your UENI website editor, click on the "Request Edit" button in the top right corner. Follow the prompts and click "Submit".
This will take you to the Smart Edits platform where, after typing in your login email address, you'll see a preview of your site. If you look to the right-hand side of the screen, you should see a paint can icon and the text "Edit My Website". Click on this icon to open up a menu where you can submit your edit requests.
Step 2: Add Your Requests
Once the menu opens, you’ll see an empty list. The first time you use the feature, this list will be blank. But don’t worry, adding your requests is simple. At the bottom of the menu, click on the "Add New Request" button to get started.
The options available for your request include:
- Existing Page
- New Page
- Menu
- Other
Step 3: Choose the Type of Edit You Want to Make
Let’s go over each option in more detail so you can choose the right category for your request.
- Existing Page: For edits to existing pages. This could be updating text, adding new sections, or changing the layout.
- Menu: Request changes to your website's navigation menu. You can add new items, reorder them, or make other adjustments.
- New Page: Want to add a new page to your site? Select this and describe what you’d like included.
- Other: If the changes you want don’t fit under the other categories, this option lets you describe them freely. These options include:
- Email: Manage all your email addresses here. You can update the email displayed on your site, request a new custom email address for your domain, or make changes to an existing one.
- Domain: Handle all domain-related tasks. This includes updating your domain settings, transferring your domain to UENI from another provider, and more.
- Integrations: Need to connect or adjust a third-party tool on your site? Use this section to request new integrations or changes to existing ones.
- Logo: If you're looking to update your branding, you can request edits to yourUENI-created logo here.
- GBP: Keep your Google listing accurate and engaging. Request any edits or updates here.
- Blog: If you’re on the Growth plan, you can request a new blog post to be created for your website. Let us know your topic, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Step 4: Provide Details for Your Request
Once you select an option, you’ll be prompted to provide more details. For each request, you can:
- Describe the Change: Use the text box to describe the edits you need.
- Attach a file from your device: If you have images, documents, or anything else that will help our team understand your request, feel free to upload them.
- Draw on Page: Want to show exactly where changes should happen? You can use the drawing tool to illustrate your request directly on the page.
Step 5: Submit Your Request
Once you've filled in all the details, hit Submit, and your request will be added to the list. You can submit as many requests as needed by clicking on Add New Task, as well as edit or delete any specific request.
Once you’ve listed all the changes you’d like, click on Submit All Tasks, and our team will get to work on them promptly.
Step 6: Monitor Your Requests
You’ll see it listed in the menu, where you can check its status at any time.
