Connect your Google Analytics account to your UENI site

Add your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID in Settings → Analytics to track how visitors find and use your website.

Google Analytics shows you how visitors find and use your website — which pages they open, where they come from, and which actions they take. Connecting it to your UENI site takes one field.

Please note: this functionality is only available for subscribers of the Plus or Growth plans.

Find your Measurement ID

In Google Analytics, go to Admin → Data streams and open your web stream. Your Measurement ID is at the top right and starts with G- — for example G-RVEZTHGT45. Google's own instructions are here.

Add it to your site

  1. Open your UENI Editor and click Settings.

  2. Scroll down and select Analytics.

  3. Paste your id into Google Analytics Measurement ID.

  4. Click Save.

That is all that is needed. Your site starts reporting to your own Google Analytics property straight away, including the visitor actions listed in What we track on your website. Data normally shows up in Google Analytics within a few minutes — the Real time report is the quickest way to check.

To disconnect, clear the field and click Save. Nothing is added to your website while the field is empty.

Only Google Analytics 4 ids are supported. An older Universal Analytics id (starting with UA-) will not be accepted — create a Google Analytics 4 property instead.

Using Google Tag Manager or another analytics tool?

Those still go in Settings → Custom Code → Head — see Add Custom Code To Your Site.

Please note: Custom code is only available for subscribers of the Plus or Growth plans.

Please don't add the same Google Analytics property in both places. If you paste a Google Analytics snippet into Custom Code and enter the same id under Settings → Analytics, every visit is counted twice.
