Check your UENI business email wherever you are by adding it to the Gmail app on your Android phone or tablet. You don't need a Google account to use Gmail for your UENI mail.
Note: Before you start, have your full UENI email address (e.g. [email protected]) and your mailbox password ready.
Step 1: Add an account in Gmail
Open Gmail, tap your profile picture in the top-right corner, then tap Add another account. On older versions, go to Menu > Settings > Add account.
Step 2: Choose Other and sign in
Tap Other (not Google, Outlook, Yahoo or Exchange).
Enter your full email address and tap Next.
Choose Personal (IMAP) to keep your mail in sync across devices.
Enter your mailbox password and tap Next.
Step 3: Enter incoming server settings
Username: your full UENI email address
Password: your UENI mailbox password
Server: mail.uenimail.com
Port: 993 for IMAP (or 995 for POP3)
Security type: SSL/TLS
Tap Next.
Step 4: Enter outgoing server settings
Server: mail.uenimail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL/TLS
Require sign-in: On, with your full email address and password
Tap Next.
Step 5: Finish setup
Choose how often Gmail checks for mail (15 minutes is fine) and your notification settings. Then enter the name recipients will see and tap Next. Switch to your UENI inbox from your profile picture.
Troubleshooting
"Username or password incorrect": use your full email address, not just the part before the @.
"Couldn't reach server": check port 993 and SSL/TLS, and turn off any VPN.
"I can receive but not send": check SMTP uses port 465 with SSL/TLS and that sign-in is on.
"Still stuck": contact UENI support with a screenshot of the error.
